Clark County is one of the leading counties of teen pregnancies in the country. Young pregnant teenagers find themselves with nowhere else to go, desperate after being kicked out of their homes or already on the street anyway. Living Grace Home is a non-denominational, faith-based program that moves pregnant girls aged 14-22 off the streets and into comfortable, affordable homes. But LGH isn’t just about helping girls have a roof over their heads; it also mandates that the girls get jobs and continue in their schooling, teaching them how to provide for themselves and their future kids. Living Grace Home is dedicated to helping these young soon-to-be mothers learn the ins and outs of caring for children while maintaining a job and getting an education.
Living Grace Home believes in life and works to assist any young woman with the same beliefs get the support and knowledge they need to make their child’s life safe and secure. In regards to the faith-based aspect of Living Grace Home, the young pregnant women living here are not required to participate in church activities, but rather encouraged. Currently, LGH is working on expanding and needs the support of the community to make their growth possible.
